Manchester – The Perfect Place to Visit for Your UK Break


If you are fed up of run of the mill holidays abroad and fancy something a bit different, then why not travel to Manchester in the UK for your holiday? You will be able to stop in a hotel in the heart of the city centre and take full advantage of the local amenities. Manchester is a great place to stop, and you will love the hustle and bustle of the city life. This article covers a few things that you can do when stopping Manchester.

You will be able to visit the Arndale centre. If you stop in a hotel in the city centre, this will not be far away from you. It is located in the heart of the city centre. You will be able to grab a bite to eat, and if you are lucky to find the café in the entrance you will be able to pick up some great Cinnamon Rolls and a lovely coffee. It is very popular with the locals.
The Trafford Centre- after shopping in the Arndale centre you may fancy a trip to the Trafford Centre. The centre plays host to thousands of shops. There is a cinema and a food court too. You will be able to take your kids to visit the Legoland located in the Trafford Centre. It is a great place to wind down and have an entertaining time.

If you are a fan of ice-skating, you will be able to take a tram ride to Altrincham and visit their lovely skating rink. It is indoors and very reasonably priced. It’s not far away from the tram line and there is an onsite DJ and café there too. Beware if you are not a regular ice skater the skates that are on hire are very old, and you will have to wear a lot of socks to pad your feet out in order to make sure that you do not come away with blisters. Altrincham ice rink is a lovely place to spend the day.

A great place to visit that is close by is Stockport. It is just a bus ride away on the 192 bus route. You will be able to pay a visit to the Grand Central swimming pool and take a splash in the water. There is a Jacuzzi and a kid’s swimming pool for little ones as well. If you like to swim laps, you can do so too, and you will also be able to grab something to eat in their lovely little café. The facilities are very clean and popular so make sure to plan your time well.

All in all, Manchester is a lovely place to visit and when you are there you will not feel like coming back home. City living is great, and a hotel holiday in Manchester will have you feeling rejuvenated and ready to take on the world.
